Chevonna Gaylor: From Abused Teen Mom to Successful Family Therapist

My guest is "Not Your Average Therapist" Chevonna Gaylor, LMFT (more about Chevonna below)

This series of videos was created to offer hope and inspiration to those who are struggling. Listen to the many stories of others who have come through a wide range of obstacles and traumatic experiences, and who can share their best tips on how you can get through yours, too.

Chevonna states, “I was a teen mother lost in an abusive relationship, balancing a competitive academic load, searching for love and acceptance. I left the destructive relationship while an undergrad. I explored my identity in all areas of life while working, being a single mother, and taking a full course load at UCLA. I had a village of people that supported my son (including his paternal relatives) and supported my academic success. It’s important that I provide others with information that will lead them on a path to heal.”

Chevonna treats people who are suffering through the pain of various issues such as losing a loved one, abusive relationships, teenage/young pregnancy, troubled teens and more. Her mission is to help as many people as possible to heal from the emotional hurt or trauma they have experienced in their lives.
